Caprock Canyon State Park with a stay at The Hotel Turkey
Caprock Canyon State Park just north of Quitaque, Texas provides amazing views, hikes with the bison without the crowds at typically seen at National Parks. Great destination! Facilities are clean & you're close to resources in Quitaque and Turkey, Texas. Ideal camping for winter months during the windows of no snow. Wind can be an issue. If you can, mid week with flexibility to grab a good window of weather if ideal. Mountain biking would be great here!
